Everyone thought that Barack Obama a was the first black person running for president, in In 1904 a guy named George Edwin Taylor had his eye on the white house and wanted to run for president and that what he did. Running for president is very hard for a lot of people but mostly colored people, George Edwin Taylor a son of an African American salve had that problem. George Taylor was a trouble child growing up and also an orphan and an independent man was running for president.

George Taylor wanted to show everyone that he was serious and that anyone can run for president, even though you are not r acknowledgeecognize or accepted because of your race. In 1904 a black independent party called the national liberty nominated George Taylor to run for president on a third-party ticket. Even though George Taylor was a trouble child when he was younger and didn’t know much about the world but he was a good man wanted to make the world better.

George Taylor did an interview on why he decided to launch a presidential campaign, this is what he says ‘’yesyes I know white folks toke me as a joke but I want to tell you the colored do not give him credit for seeing. He’s beginning to take of his own interests and what’s more that he has the power to do it.’’ George also discovered that that neither the democratic nor the republic party represented the interests of people color, Theodore Roosevelt was re-elected as president still Taylor ran symbolized the growth of political that black Americans acquired following the reconstruction era. Mr. Taylor wanted to show everyone that and one can run for president.

The light bulb is the most important invention in history. This invention helps in so many ways, most importantly; it helps us see when we are not able to, mostly at night. 

The light bulb is an invention that is used all the time. The light bulb has impacted the world in various ways. The only light source that was available consisted of candles, oil lanterns, and gas lamps. It was a very long process to create the light bulb known today. Many people helped with the light bulb that we know today.

Who invented the lightbulb? Some people question it today. Many people say Thomas Edison was the first person who invented the light bulb, is that true?, should Thomas Edison get receive credit for something he didn’t invent?. These are some question some [people ask their self when they know he didn’t invent the lightbulb, Thomas Edison did not invent the lightbulb. Thomas Edison should not receive credit for inventing the lightbulb because he brought the patent he didn’t make the patent. Thomas Edison is customarily credited with the invention because Edison was himself a great promoter of his image, and it was important to claim to be the sole inventor in order to win the crucial patents that would determine which person got to control the market share.

I think that people wanted to believe in the idea of an inventive genius. Edison certainly was, by any stretch, an inventive genius, but people were very drawn to this idea that Edison was a wizard. He was in a very competitive race where he borrowed—some said stole—ideas from other inventors who were also working on an incandescent bulb. What made him ultimately successful was that he was not a lone inventor, a lone genius, but rather the assembler of the first research and development team at Menlo Park, N.J. Someone else who contributed to the light bulb is James Bowman Lindsay.

In 1835 James demonstrated constant electric lighting using a system that is called a prototype light bulb (invsee.asu.edu). In 1850 Edward Shepard, used a charcoal filament to invent an electrical incandescent arc lamp. Another important addition to the light bulb happened that exact year. Joseph Wilson Swan started working with carbonized paper filaments, which later helped the light bulb.

To get where George Taylor wanted to be it was hard.  George had to face a lot, there no diaries or journals, no articles or publications; and the newspaper. Writers of black America mentioned him only from time to time, but always as an unknown who just happened to have run for president in 1904.
